We Inspect For Basement Leaks, diagnose entry points and provide work scope in Melbourne and rural Victoria
We specialise in identifying leak points in basements and in preparing a scope of works to remediate the leaks
Diagnosing basement leaks - Often leaking basements are leaking from multiple entry points. The most common is referred to as the 'joint', which is where the wall meets the concrete slab. When a basement leaks, it is generally because of defective waterproofing during construction. The joint is the weakest point of any basement construction and specific treatment is required to seal the joint from the negatve side (the side where the water pressure is not present. In addition to the jont, poorly waterproofed below ground structures can seep, whereby water comes through the wall at higher levels of the wall than the joint, and always below soil level. The soil pressed against the wall surfaces is filled with moisture which levels rise and fall as the water table and ground water levels rise and fall.Typically we diagnose the issue with a mixture of flood testing and thermal imaging cameras which seek out temperature differentials.
We have the most professional and sophisticated testing equipment available which is required to identify water and dampness in any property. Inspection camera, moisture detectors, thermal imaging cameras.
